Who's Watching? 12/11/2024

“You'd better watch out, You'd better not cry, Better not pout I'm telling you why Santa Claus is comin' to town…He sees you when you're sleeping, He knows when you’re awake, He knows if you've been bad or good so be good for goodness sake”. Couldn’t help to sing along as you read, could you! A childhood song to prompt good behavior to all not wanting a stocking filled with coal. Then we all grow up and (TRUTH ALERT!) realize Santa is a myth. There’s no one watching good or bad. Or is there? (Proverbs 15:3) The eyes of the Lord are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. And (TRUTH ALERT!) (Matthew 24:4,30-31) “Watch out…all the peoples of the earth will see the Son of Man [Jesus] coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other”. (TRUTH ALERT) This is no myth, Jesus is comin’ and there’s more at stake than a stocking of coal! PK
