As I drove to the church the other day I noticed a chicken nugget someone had dropped onto the parking lot. It wasn’t the nugget I saw first. It was the highway of ants at least twenty feet long coming and going from the chicken to their subterranean home. We read in Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, consider its ways and be wise! And so I considered this, “what was it the first ant thought when it came upon this gigantic chicken nugget?” Maybe: “this is way to big for me to conquer, I’ll look for a crumb”, or “why do I keep coming across these impossible over-sized nuggets”. Probably, because it’s their God-Given nature, instead of that it ran to its friends, “guys, I found this gigantic morsel of chicken nuggets, too big for me, but together…”. It’s not unusual to come upon gigantic obstacles/mountains, we’ve all been there. In Christ Jesus we’re birthed a Spirit nature that enables us to overcome, connected to a family that will (Galatians 6:2) Carry each other’s burdens. And a hope in Jesus who tells us (Matthew 17:20) “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” So what’s your nugget? Consider the ant and be wise. PK
