There’s been a lot of talk recently about “divine intervention”. Meaning God stepping into a human moment and directing the outcome according to His purposes. The Bible is full of divine moments, even to the point of God holding the sun in place for about a full day. (see Joshua 10) We’re not surprised when God intervenes, it’s what He does, we’re simply in awe. Jesus tries to help us see that God’s intervention is not random or rare. Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? I won’t diminish the miraculous moments we see as “divine”; they are. But the constant care of an ever-present Father God is 24/7 intervention worthy of my awe. Also, may we never forget Romans 5:6-8 at just the right time, when we were still powerless, God demonstrates [intervenes with] his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Maranatha! PK
