Doorknob 01-28-2026

I have a door I use daily. Unlock-take hold the knob and twist-open-enter-close behind me. Routine, right? Except the other day I unlocked-took hold the knob and twisted-the door would not open. The knob would turn and the lock worked but it would not engage the latch bolt. Good news, I had another door I could enter and from the inside I was able to change out the doorknob. It’s made me realize how much of my life is routine taking no more brain energy than going in and out of doors. Nothing to it, till it doesn’t work, till I get stuck, till my comfortable life gets turned upside down. How do I get through to the other side? I need another door. Good news, we have ONE. (John 10:9-10) Jesus said I am the Door. Anyone who goes in through Me will be saved…He will go in and out and…have life, a great full life. And so when stuck, I (Jesus) say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. (Luke 11:9-10) PK
