If you voted yesterday (I’m sure you did!) then as you reached the poll worker you handed them your I.D. as proof of eligibility to vote. The same I.D., with the yellow star, gets you through security as you board domestic flights. And so whether you vote, fly or any of the other occasions an I.D. is required. If you have it, it removes any doubt about who you are and lets you pass. The Psalmist asks in Ps. 15: 1 LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? To even ask the question means there must be some way to I.D. a person’s eligibility: Ps. 15:2 The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; Your legal I.D. has your photo to prove who you are. Your spiritual I.D. has the actions of your heart as proof of what you are…a redeemed child of God. Read the rest of Psalm 15’s 5 verses and pass boldly into the sacred presence of God. PK
