Do you remember as a kid when you and a friend would say something exactly the same way at exactly the same time? Jinx! In my Jr. High version the one who said Jinx first got to punch the other guy in the shoulder. What makes those moments unique is that two different people are responding to the same thing in exactly the same way, in unison. I was reading in Revelation 19 of not just two, but a multitude responding in unison to the appearance of the white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True, saying: “Hallelujah! For our Lord God Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! (Revelation 19:6-7) Something unique happens when in a shared moment, different people respond in unison. Jesus affirms it saying: For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them. (Matthew 18:20) That’s called worship! And every Sunday we come together in unison to worship the One called Faithful and True. See you this Sunday and let’s Jinx together. PK
