Do you remember playing the matching game? Say there’s 2 each of 25 images, turned face down and mixed. You take turns turning over two cards at a time. If it’s a match, you keep the cards. If not, you turn them back over and remember the location hoping to see the image turn up as play continues. This is Memorial Day Weekend, a chance for us to turn over one of our memory cards with the image of men and women soldiers who’ve made our way of life possible. It’s up to us to match their sacrifice with gratitude on this day of honor. It’s up to us to repeat the stories of the past to our children and their children so the freedoms we share today are never taken for granted. Our God  instructs us tell these stories and His story of redemption. (Deuteronomy 4:9) do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. So make the match this Memorial Day. PK
