Do you have a favorite ethnic cuisine? My go to answer when asked is Tex-Mex. That is until I get the yearning for Bar-B-Que, or Mediterranean (love shawarma) or maybe Chinese (Hunan of-course), then there’s catfish or steak…pizza anyone? OK, maybe my favorite is what I’m putting in my mouth at the time! But that’s the point. I don’t need a favorite to enjoy the meal. In his first letter to the church in Corinth Apostle Paul is urging the church to unite, to set aside their loyalty to a particular leader and remember it is in Christ Jesus alone we have life. 1 Corinthians 1:10-9 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. (Here’s where we must agree) God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. The Holy Spirit sets a bountiful provision every time we gather, Sunday, Wednesday. Don’t miss a meal even if it’s not your favorite! PK
