You would think four lanes of road would be enough to keep traffic moving at a decent pace but no, not at 3pm rush hour. It means inch forward, change lanes because the one on the right is moving, then back to the same lane for the same reason. There’s jealousy of the car that keeps two lengths ahead. Horns sound. Frustration mounts as you guard your space from the guy trying to squeeze in front. It got me thinking, how many prayers travel to God in any given minute? Is there ever a “prayer jam”? Too many at one time so God says, “slow down, one at a time”. You already know where I’m going. There’s no “prayer jam”, or lag time or prioritizing with God. In Luke 18 a judge is frustrated with the constant traffic of pleas for justice. Jesus says, not so with God, instead “will not God give justice to those who call out to him day and night…he will give justice speedily”. So don’t hesitate, the lane is open, your prayer has reached God’s throne. PK
