sunrise 08-21-2024

I’m not sure what it is that comes over us when we awake to a glorious eastern sunrise, beauty yes, but there’s something else. Night gives way to day, cold to the sun’s warmth. It’s peaceful yet charged with optimism of the unfolding day ahead. We anticipate the day upon us still unknown yet filled with promise as sure as the rising sun. There will be another dawn, a sunrise, a morning star, different than any other yet filled with peace, optimism, and promise. (Revelation 22:16-17) I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.” The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life. And while we look to the east and say “come”, may we live this day calling out “come” to the thirsty.
